Baltimore/Washington International Airport

Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) Airport is the largest airport in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. area, with a record 25+ million passengers passing through every year. Built just before the end of World War II, it was initially commissioned for the state of Maryland as a Baltimore Airport. After further research and consideration, the Baltimore Aviation Commission decided the best strategic location would be between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. on a 2,100-acre piece of land near Linthicum Heights. Today, BWI Airport is nine miles from downtown Baltimore and 33 miles from the nation’s capital.

The airport is U-shaped, with one main terminal and five concourses serving both international and regional flights. BWI features over 100 shopping, dining and entertainment vendors, a fully equipped fitness gym with cardio trails and the nationally registered historic Benson Hammond House. As a hub for business, political and leisure travelers, our hotel is an ideal location for guests looking for a hotel near BWI.
